Terms & Conditions of Registration
By registering with Round Rock Baseball League (RRBL), you the user are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms of use and registration. After reviewing the following terms and conditions thoroughly, if you do not agree to the terms and conditions, please do not use this site or register as a participant with our league.
- Acceptance of Agreement. You agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Terms and Conditions of Registration Agreement with respect to our organization. This Agreement constitutes the entire and only agreement between us and you, and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, warranties and understandings with respect to the services provided by our organization. This Agreement may be amended by us at any time and at any frequency without specific notice to you. The latest Agreement will be posted on the league website, and you should review this Agreement prior to registering with our organization.
- Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold us, our officers, our share holders, our partners, attorneys and employees harmless from any and all liability, loss, damages, claim and expense, including reasonable attorney's fees, related to your violation of this Agreement or use of this Site.
- Disclaimer. THE INFORMATION AND ALL OTHER MATERIALS ON THE SITE ARE PROVIDED FOR GENERAL INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO EVALUATE THE ACCURACY AND COMPLETENESS OF ALL INFORMATION AVAILABLE ON THIS SITE OR ANY WEBSITE WITH WHICH IT IS LINKED.
PARENT/COACH ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
As a parent/guardian of a player registering with RRBL, I understand and agree to the following:
- there may be a commitment to participate in team duties and assignments. Failure to do so may mean forfeiture of a practice/game or manager suspension
- that my child could be evaluated and placed in an appropriate division of the league based on player skill and ability
- that I may be required to show a copy of my child's Birth Certificate before my child will be allowed to participate in tryouts, practices, or games (unless one is previously on record)
- that batting helmets are used to ensure the safety of my child during play, and that I am responsible for providing this helmet or other safety gear or equipment
- that player names may be posted on our web site team rosters
- that I have read and agree to all Terms and Conditions for registration
For manager and coach applicants:
MEDICAL RELEASE:
This is to certify that I, as the parent or guardian of a player in the Round Rock Baseball League, hereby grant permission to the adult manager, coach, business manager of the team to obtain medical care, at my expense, from a licensed physician, hospital, or medical clinic, for the player named herein at such time as either parent/guardian cannot be contacted in person or by telephone. This authorization shall include all league activities, including travel time; and we do hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless RRBL or any affiliated organization, the organizers, supervisory, participants, or person transporting the player to and from those activities, for any and all claims arising out of an injury to a player.
LIABILITY RELEASE FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS:
I am the parent/guardian of a player being registered who will be allowed to participate in baseball activities with Round Rock Baseball League. I hereby release Round Rock Baseball League and each of its Directors from any and all liability as a result of any injuries which may occur during my Child’s participation this season. I fully understand that as a parent or guardian, I am responsible for any and all medical expenses which may be incurred as a result of any accidental injuries. I further understand that Round Rock Baseball League is not sanctioned as an agent of the City of Round Rock and is a private association.
LIGHTNING SAFETY POLICY:
By registering my child/player or participating as manager/coach, I agree to the information listed in the leagues lightning safety policy that can be reviewed by clicking HERE. I hereby release Round Rock Baseball League and each of its Directors from any and all liability. I fully understand that as a parent/guardian or coach, I am ultimately responsible for the safety my child (or team, if participating as a coach) while participating in activities with Round Rock Baseball League.
NO TOLERANCE POLICY:
- Any player, parent, coach, or fan arguing with an umpire or RRBL official/representative before, during or after a game may be cause for ejection. Ejection of a player, parent, coach, or fan will be for all games the day of the ejection plus one additional game. See current rules and policies on line for specific details.
- Any player, parent, coach, or fan ejected from a league event more than once in a season will be suspended from RRBL for the remainder of that season and, at the discretion of board of directors, for the following season.
- Use of profanity or abusive language towards an umpire, RRBL official/representative, or league member will be cause for suspension from all games for the remainder of the season plus the following season
- Physical abuse of an umpire, RRBL official/representative, or league member will be cause for permanent suspension from RRBL
- Upon ejection from a game or practice, the ejected party must leave the complex and not return unless authorized by the RRBL Board of Directors until the suspension has been completed. Failure to leave the complex may result in forfeiture of game by the team associated with the ejected party
FIELD USAGE AGREEMENT:
By registering my child/player or participating as manager/coach, I agree to the information listed in the field usage agreement that can be reviewed HERE. I understand that failure to abide by these rules can result in suspension or removal from the league. NO REFUNDS will be issued for removal due to violations of this agreement.
RETURNED CHECK FEES:
All returned checks will have a fee of $25 (plus bank charges) - Payable to RRBL
LEAGUE REFUND POLICY:
Select Teams
- A 3 day (72 hours) grace period will apply for cancellation or withdrawal of a team after a field assignment notification has been made via email. Cancellation or withdrawal after the grace period and prior to the first scheduled practice will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee and any other administrative charges incurred by RRBL to process your refund. There are NO REFUNDS within 3 business days prior to the scheduled start of the season (first practice).
Individuals (league players)
- A $10 administration fee will apply for any withdrawal prior to the close of the regular league registration period. A $30 administration fee will apply for any withdrawal between the close of league registration and 3 business days before the scheduled start of the season. In addition, once uniforms have been ordered and distributed the cost of the uniform will also be deducted from any refunds issued. There are NO REFUNDS within 3 business days prior to the scheduled start of the season (first practice).
Rain-outs or Cancellations
- There are NO REFUNDS for cancellation of practices, games, or tournaments due to inclement weather or other Acts of God beyond the control of Round Rock Baseball League.
The only acceptable form of requesting to be withdrawn from the league is to email your request to RRBL. Please include your division commissioner, registration, and treasurer in the email.
PRIVACY POLICY:
During normal operations of the Round Rock Baseball League (RRBL), we request and collect only the information required to conduct business as a recreational baseball league. Information collected is protected to the fullest extent possible by a non-profit organization. The personal information collected is only used for registration, background checks (managers and coaches), and communication purposes during the course of the season. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. Email sign-up and text lists are deleted and reset at the beginning of each season. If there is ever a breach of personal information, the league members will be notified immediately.
