The regular season began with a doubleheader split against Taft at Winnemac Park. Three weeks later, the Mustangs completed a doubleheader sweep of Amundsen to finish with a record of 7-3 and second place in the tough Red North Conference. Below are pictures from conference play and non-conference games, including a day-long, mid-season tournament at Chicago H.S. for Agricultural Sciences.

10/9/12 Following a freak injury that left Phil with a fractured knuckle during a pre-season game at Taft, he maintained his dedication to the team coaching and cajoling his teammates throughout the season.
10/16/12 Zen, Noah, and Billy all scored in front of Brandon on his monster grand slam against Amundsen.

9/29/12 After a tough defeat against Payton to start the day, the Mustangs got down to business, beating Hancock handily to get back for a playoff defeat in '11. Diachi, Zen, Billy, Eric (hidden), Brandon, and Noah wait for their turn at bat and a chance to add to the score.
10/9/12 Proof that teenagers really can listen to adults, the Mustangs applaud as Coach Ho announces the starting lineup versus Lake View. NCP went on to sweep the doubleheader, sporting their new, customized, matching sweat pants.
