History: The Twins reunited after a few years away from baseball in 2006. They got off to a rough start, but rebounded for a decent 10-16 season and a thrilling playoff series vs the Tigers that saw them win 2 straight after dropping a 17 inning game 1 to win series 2-1. The Bulls handled them in the next round 2-0 and ended the run. In 2007, the Twins had a better year with a record of 12-13-2, but the playoff success didn’t follow and the team was eliminated 2-1 by the Bengals. In 2008, the Twins stepped it up and captured their first division title with a 19-7-2 record. In the playoffs, after a first round bye, they defeated the Stars 2-0 before failing to the Bulls in 2 games. In 2009 the team started slow, but finished strong and wound up 11-15 before losing a one game playoff to the Stars.

History with Bulls : The Twins and Bulls met early in 2006 and played 2 close games. The Bulls took the first, 3-2 in 8 innings. Conlon pitched 6 and Guy the last 2 for the win. Game 2, was a 2-0 Bulls win behind a McKnight shutout. In the playoffs, the Bulls dominated game 1, 14-2 behind a McKnight CG. Game 2 was much closer, but the Bulls pulled out a 5-4 win with Leyland getting the CG. In 2007, the teams met in Mississauga on a rainy day and the Bulls won game 1, 11-8. A Conlon win and Guy save. Game 2 was a 8-7 win with Pitman getting the W and Mousseau the save. In 2008, the teams met in week 2 and once again played 2 pretty close games. Game 1 was a Kozak win in a 5-3 game that featured the return of Chris Hayes and a HR in his first AB. Game 2, the Bulls scored a bunch late to give Conlon an 8-2 win and Hayes picked up the save. In the playoffs, the Bulls won game 1, 13-4 with Leyland and a complete game win. They closed off the series with a 5-0 Kozak complete game shutout win. In 2009 the teams opened their seasons on the Monday of the May long weekend after being rained out on opening day for the 2nd straight year. Game 1 saw Leyland pitch 4 and leave trailing 4-2. Kozak held the Twins down for 3 and Bulls scored 3 to win a close 5-4 game. In game 2, the Bulls gave McKnight all the runs he would need in their first inning scoring 5 and cruising to a 5-1 win in a McKnight CG.
