History: The Giants had some success in SOBA’s before joining OSBA. 2006 was a rough start for the franchise as they finished 5-20-1 and missed the playoffs. In 2007, they would improve their regular season mark to 9-18-1, but were eliminated 2-0 to the Majors in the playoffs. The team hit their stride in 2008 with a 2nd place 17-10-1 record but in the playoffs they were again eliminated by the Majors in 2 straight games. In 2009 the team continued to grow and improve with a team record 19-3-4 regular season. In round 1 of playoffs, the beat the Bengals 2 games to 1. In the semi’s, they were swept by the Bulls in 2 games.

History with Bulls : The Giants and Bulls first meeting in 2006 was a surprise as the winless Giants upset the Bulls in Game 1, 9-2 with Willitts taking the loss. In Game 2, McKnight pitched a complete game as the Bulls won 4-1. In 2007, the Bulls swept the first meeting, 9-4 on a McKnight complete game win and 16-0 in Game 2, behind a Swagers CG shutout. In the next meeting, the Bulls won Game 1, 7-1 with Conlon getting the CG win and 11-1 in Game 2, with Willits getting the Win. In 2008, the Bulls swept the first doubleheader 2-1 in a Kozak cg win and then 10-0 in a McKnight cg win. The next time they met, the Bulls won the first game 8-3 behind McKnight’s cg, but lost the second game 9-8 with Kozak taking the loss in relief of Conlon. In 2009 the two teams met late in the year in a first place showdown. The Bulls lost game 1, 2-1 with Kozak losing and won game 2, 13-3 behind a Hayes win. In the playoffs, Kozak pitched a one hit shutout as the Bulls won game 1, 2-0 and then Leyland won game 2 , 3-1.
