Union Knight two time all stater, two time team captain, Josh Clark has a big smile with
his mother Penny in this shot at the UHS media center. He has good reason as he will
continue his football career in college at the nation's #1 junior college, Iowa Western CC
in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Josh is a native of LaPorte City and loves to lift weights and compete. This past weekend
he took first place in wrestling districts and heads to Des Moines after finishing 4th last year.
In addition on the football field he has been starting since mid way through his freshman year.
Josh is a two way player, playing both offensive tackle and defensive tackle. He was fifth on
the team in tackles last season with 50. At his position, that is spectacular. He also had 9
assisted tackles for loss, and 7 tackles for loss. Clark was also a key cog in the Knight offense
and when short yardage or key plays were needed it was probably going his direction. The
Knights have traditionally been one of the top offenses in the state 2A and 3A over the last
three years.
We want to with Josh and his family best of luck as he finishes out wrestling and will be heading
to IWCC next fall. To see more about IWCC and the Reiver football program click here: http://athletics.iwcc.edu/sports/?Sport=football.
