The 2013 has come to a close for the South Pittsburgh Steelheads, and all-in-all, it was a successful one.  The team finished at least .500 in 4 of the 5 tournaments we played, and we made the semi-finals in our home tournament, losing 2 very close games (7-6 to Shaler Thunder - the eventual champion - and 7-5 to Bethel Park - the eventual runner-up).  In our Memorial Day weekend tournament in Mentor, OH, we finished 2-1 and barely lost out on a tiebreaker to move on to the semi-finals.  The year was quite a learning experience for players (only 1 player had prior AAU experience) and coaches alike, and it is something to build on for 2014.
