BLOOMSBURG – Bloomsburg University senior Larry Webster (Hagerstown, MD/Elkton) has accepted an invitation to play in the 2014 East-West Shrine Game, joining teammate Matt Feiler (Strasburg/Lampeter-Strasburg) on the roster for the prestigious all-star game. This year's contest is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 18 at 4 p.m. at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., and will be televised on the NFL Network.

The East-West Shrine Game is the longest running college all-star game in the country, first being held in 1925. More than 100 players from last year's edition of the game signed with professional teams in 2013 and on average more than 275 East-West Shrine Game alumni are on NFL rosters each year. The game also benefits Shriners Hospitals for Children.

A first team Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division and Daktronics Super Region 1 selection at defensive end, Webster finished his senior season with 49 tackles and 12.5 sacks to lead the PSAC in total sacks and the nation in sack yardage at 102. A former standout on the basketball court for the Huskies who owns the school's all-time blocked shots record, Webster posted 26 sacks in 24 games during his two seasons on the football field in maroon and gold.

Webster's inclusion on the East-West Shrine Game roster gives the Huskies two representatives alongside players from the largest programs around the nation. Feiler, a senior offensive tackle, accepted an invitation to play in the game last week.

The Huskies finished the season 10-2 as the PSAC champions after winning the conference championship game for the first time since 1985 and earned entry into the NCAA Division II Playoffs for the second consecutive year.
