LigaLeague to unveil S32 champions this Friday
In our 32 seasons, we’ve never had a finals matchup absent of either seed 1, nor seed 2, and seed 3 teams as participants in a season deciding game! It is also a first for the league to pit two sub-500 teams with six (6) combined wins between them and each winning against each other, in our marquee game! How did it happen?
Snapchat’s love story is a love-hate relationship where teamwork is an elusive and foreign word, as foreign as these players are with one another. Anchored by Fred Castillo, boy did he long for another shooter to drop on his team at draft day. He sighed, hawed and look resigned to the scheduled playoff game while he’s in Hawaii frolicking with his sniper buddy Charles Lee of Snapchat. This team barely had enough bodies to warm their bench throughout the season. League veterans of this team were perplexed tried to right the ship but odds are piled up against them. I guess all they wanted is for playoff season to begin.
Twitter, meanwhile was a great example of fluke ascension – where they started out of the gates with three (3) consecutive wins, and were only able to pick up one more W the rest of the way lowlighted by its four (4) game losing streak.
Both of these teams were for sure looking past this season, into the off season. But funny how this game works sometimes. Anyone can make their own conclusions as to what may have happened, why events turned the way they did but in all honesty, this is another example of why we have this brotherhood competition disguised in a sport of basketball!
Root for your imperfect team and cheer for everyone else who chose to stay active!
