REBELS EXTEND WIN STREAK TO 6 GAMES

March 28, 2019

The FW Rebels were a couple of players short Thursday night but that didn't stop them from extending their winning streak to 6-games with a 12-6 victory over the North Texas Rail Riders.  The Rebels rebounded from a shaky top-half of the 1st inning with the Rail Riders plating 3. No fear as the Rebels answered immediately with 7 runs in the first inning and 5 more in the second and that's all they needed.

Jace Franke singled to open the game followed by a walk from Drew Horstman.  Franke scored on a wild pitch to open the Rebels scoring. With 1 out, Jon Doko singled in Horstman. Jackson Jordan walked, and Karson Symonds singled to load the bases.  Quentin Enos worked out a bases loaded RBI walk to tie the game at 3.  This set the stage for the red-hot Christopher Calabrese who laced a bases clearing triple and gave the Rebels a lead they would never relinquish.  Evan Swindell followed with a sharp single to left that scored Calabrese.

Luke Cornell came back to play and promptly singled and scored in his first at bat.

Jon Doko, Evan Smith, Jace Franke, Jackson Jordan, and Quentin Enos all had an inning on the mound and the Rebels ended up winning 12-6.
