REBELS' WALK-OFF CAPS A SPLIT OF TWO TOURNAMENT GAMES

FW REBELS' #22 WILL ADAMS CELEBRATES JACK DALTON'S WALK OFF SINGLE ALONG WITH KARSON SYMONDS & QUENTIN ENOS TO DOWN BN MAVERICKS 11U MAJORS 1-0.

The FW Rebels started slowly Saturday and lost in a blowout to PTC Aces 13-1, but bounced back nicely to win their second game of the day 1-0 to the BN Mavericks.  Wildness and poor defense contributed to the 13 Aces' run.  The Rebels only run of game 1 was scored on an RBI double by Jon Doko that followed a Quentin Enos hit by pitch.

The Rebels re-grouped for game 2 and got their best pitching performance of the season with a 6-inning combined shutout from Jack Dalton & Quentin Enos.  Dalton was perfect for 3 innings not allowing a runner and striking out 1.  Enos hurled the final 3 innings and allowed 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3.  The Rebels played error-free baseball and were aided by a double play lineout to Drew Horstman, a pickoff of first by Enos, and a clutch Jon Doko throw to third baseman Jackson Jordan to cut down a Mavericks player attempting to steal in the top of the 6th.

FW REBELS' JACK DALTON LACES A LINE DRIVE GAME-WINNING SINGLE TO CENTER FIELD TO SCORE WILL ADAMS FROM 3RD

The score remained tied going to the final inning.  Will Adams led off with a bullet single to right.  Adams then scurried to second when the right fielder threw the ball away. With Evan Swindell at the plate, Adams took 3rd on a wild pitch.  Swindell barely missed a walk-off single that dribbled foul, and then popped out to the first baseman for the first out.  Mavericks then decided to intentionally walk lead off hitter Jace Franke.  The infield and outfield were brought in.  This set the stage for Jack Dalton who laced an RBI single to center to score the winning run.

The Rebels win raised their season record to 18-10.
