Finals game last night was another one epic one between Seeds 1 and 2. But this one had two different flavors, mighty sweet for Kawasaki as they throttled down Suzuki's passing game to tune of 22-18 halftime lead. As we know, teams adjust ...Suzuki did just that in the second half though it was not apparent for it was still a tight game, seesawing leads of 4 points. or so in the final frame until Kawasaki's chains broke and sniper extraordinaire Merick Lim (no disrespect to Ariel Rosero) revved up his stroke from deep, over and over and over and over. Yep that's four-in-a-row to the counters out there. Heck he even breezed the net over Glen Gonzales' outstretched arms! Sandwiched in there was a trey from ex-rookie Oliver Dinglasan. Well, when you see that compact outburst in a span of 3 minutes or so, you just have to tip your hats to them!
Congratulations to you Team Suzuki!
Most especially to our first-time champions, Rhoniel Hormigas, Oliver Dinglasan, Joel Antolin, and Dong Delemos! Enjoy this achievement for some players still are chasing their first. Of note, with Suzuki bagging it, below are the individual trophy counts:
- Edward Garcia - notches his 13th trophy
- Merick Lim - notches his 8th trophy
- Bogart Suarez - notches his 5th trophy
- Ahjong Japson - notches his 4th trophy
- Al Lugtu - notches his 4th trophy
- Rhoniel Hormigas - first time champ
- Oliver Dinglasan - first time champ
- Joel Antolin - first time champ
- Dong Delemos - first time champ
Thanks everybody for another great season!
