FW REBELS ADD NEW PITCHING COACH & TWO NEW PLAYERS FOR 13U

July 12, 2019

#19 - COLEMAN PECK

#13 BRADY FRANZ

The FW Rebels are pleased to announce they have hired a dedicated pitching coach to their staff, as well as two new players to the roster.

Jeff Peck will take over the FW Rebels pitching staff and he brings plenty of experience with him.  Jeff was a Kansas City Royals draft pick out of Denton Ryan HS.  He elected to play at Texas Tech instead where he went 17-4 for the Red Raiders while in Lubbock.  Jeff then pitched professionally in the Independent Texas-Louisiana League from 1997-1999.  He pitched for the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings, Lubbock Crickets, and Ozark Mountain Ducks.  Peck was most recently the head coach of the 12U AAA Dirtbags.  His experience as a player and coach will be a fine addition to the Rebels staff.

Jeff's son Coleman will join the Rebels squad as well.  Coleman is an athletic ballplayer who has pitched, played middle infield, and outfield.  Last season, he played for the Dirtbags 12U AAA squad.

The Rebels also picked up Brady Franz.  Franz played last season with Ntx Extreme so is very familiar with the Rebels organization after those two teams met six times during the season.  Brady was previously teammates with current Rebel players Drew Horstman & Jackson Jordan.  Like Coleman, he'll add plenty of versatility to the Rebels roster and will deepen the pitching staff.
