For eleven years the LIJSL Exceptional Seniors games featured the best players from
Nassau and Suffolk County. In 2004 Westchester County soccer players participated.
Suffolk County teams had played 15 straight games against Nassau County before losing in 2010.
Suffolk County teams have played 3 games against other competition and never lost.
In 2011 the Nassau & Suffolk Soccer Coaches Association's decided to start a new set of games
that would feature the best soccer players on Long Island and allow them to showcase their skills
to their parents and fans, the public and to college coaches.
