As coaches you play a major role in developing our youth! Coaches spend countless hours weekly at practice and game days with all the athletes. You will become a coach for life to some of these players.  Coaches are volunteers and pillars of the community, helping youth football and cheer programs to run all over the country if not the world.  Elgin has a lot of talent and you are helping to shape that talent at the fundamental level.     In order to become a coach, there are requirements that all coaches must meet.  All coaches are required to pass a yearly background check.  Depending on what you are coaching you will will have different  certifications and training requirement.  Below is a list of what the coaches in each program must complete before being certified.    Also there are limited spaces per team for coaching per CTYFL we are only allowed  5 Coaches on the field for game days home or away.  Thank you for your interest in coaching!

Here is the code for CTYFL. It is: CTYFL21. Below are the instructions as well for them on how to access Edge using the code.

Create and register an Atavus Edge account then click continue:

From here, enter in payment information and also enter in the discount code CTYFL21 in the space provided on the right.
The amount due should say $25 after the code is entered correctly.
Make sure the code is entered exactly as it appears
Make sure the amount due says $25 before completing this process
Once the payment process is complete, coaches will now be able to access and complete Certification.
To access Certification within the account, click on the Certification Level 1 tab on the left.
Now review the instructional videos and complete the exam.

Certificates must be submitted to your associations Certification Coordinator.
