This year, in addition to a baseball glove, each player should also have their own helmet for sanitary reasons.  A helmet is a very personal item under normal circumstances, and making this a required piece of equipment was planned prior to the pandemic, but this plan is now being accelerated due to the added risk of Covid-19.   Please note when considering colours that royal blue is preferable.  Locally, PJ Sports has a few helmets available for sizing and orders can be placed with them.  A baseball glove and helmet are the only two mandatory pieces of equipment required, however other recommended items are covered below.   

Currently, the plan will be to disinfect bats between uses, but if your child has their own bat, then they are encouraged to bring it for their own personal use.  Whether they have their own bat or not, batting gloves are highly recommended. If your child is planning on participating in the all-star program in the future, then proper baseball pants should also be considered. Similarly, cleats are necessary for competitive baseball but simply recommended for the regular summer program where a good pair of running shoes is acceptable.
