The Philly Area Black Sox after a brief hiatus due to lack of players in 2019 and no play in 2020 due to pandemic, hope to play in 2021. We are actively holding tryouts/practices and seek youth players ages 16-19 with previous baseball playing experience. The Black Sox plan to play in a league, play exhibition games, and play in tournaments. Practices and some home games are in the University City section of Philadelphia. This year also marks the 25th Anniversary of the 1996 Undefeated Season of the Black Sox a year after being the White Sox. The Black Sox went 26-0, a franchise record that still exists today.
