NeW Jersey Blaze

May 17, 2013...The NeW Jersey Blaze 17U Rondo Team finished 2nd in Pool Play in the 2013 D1 New Jersey State AAU Tournament with a 1-1 record by knocking of Team New Jersey Select Stars by a score of 58-46.  The Blaze controlled the tempo of the game against the fast back court guards and front court bigs.

May 18, 2013...The NeW Jersey Blaze 17U Rondo Team come into game 2 of the NJAAU State Tournament facing one of the top teams in the State of NJ, NJ Roadrunners.  The Blaze were up 7pts in the 2nd quarter but 17 2nd half turnovers turned into baskets for the Roadrunners as the Roadrunners took a convincing win over NWJ Blaze by a score of 54-77.  The Blaze advanced to the Nationals Qualifying round to play a State Quarter finals game against the King Street Kings on May 31st 2013.

May 31, 2013...The NeW Jersey Blaze 17U Rondo Team walked into a hot gym against KSK.  Not able to establish any offensive or defensive rhythm led to a long evening blow out of KSK over the NWJ Blaze by a score of 87-51.  The next stop for the NWJ Blaze will be at ESPN Wide World of Sports for the Super Showcase Silver Invitational in Lake Buena Vista Florida, followed by Division 1 Nationals 2013 at the same surrounding venues.  Good luck boys, Class of 2014, make us proud!
