LBA CHALK TALK

History was rewritten on Sunday as first year player Shea Feehan of the Peoria Nuggets recorded a LBA single game indiviual record of 80 points scored in a game. Feehan broke the previous record set by scoring guard Cole Abbey of the Quincy Cobras with 65 points earlier this season. On his performance, Shea stated, "It felt good last Sunday, hit a few early, and my teammates kept force-feeding me the ball telling me to try and break the scoring record. They do a great job of finding me when i'm open as well as getting me open with screens!" In just their first season in the LBA, Peoria Nuggets are one of the top teams with a record of 11-2 and currently sit at the #2 spot in record standings. On Sunday, February 6th, the Nuggets will matchup against the 11-3 Quincy Cobras led by Cobras Big 3 Jonny Dahl, Cole Abbey and Miles Wentzien who will be looking to even the score after losing to Feehan and the Nuggets 97-130 in November. Feehan continued his comment with, "The Cobras are a good team playing pretty good basketball as of late, I feel like our team is also playing better ball as of late so it should be a good matchup tommorrow!" In that game, Feehan scored 39 points on 5/8 from the field and 9/19 from downtown. He also recorded 5 steals, 5 assists  and 4 rebounds. Through 9 games Feehan is averaging 31.7 ppg, 1.5 spg. 4.2 apg and 2.7 rpg shooting .87%ft, .48%3pt and .66%fg.
