Byrd is carving out his place as an MVP Candidate.

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT

Guard, Keon Byrd for the Illinois 309ers has been putting on a show on both ends of the court this season. Averaging 18ppg, 8rpg, 7apg and 4spg, Byrd is a shoe in MVP candidate for the season. The 309ers won both games on Sunday beating the Peoria Wolf Pack and the Canton Snipers in which their record now stands at 7-3. In his comment Commissioner Stovall says, "Keon is a top 3 two way player in the league. Byrd is a fine talent across the board. His will to finish games is uncommon, his quite condifence is relentless. He can score, has a great handle that is erky jerky, he even can snag rebounds, he pressures the ball and has a unique ability to get steals!"
