What is Modified-Pitch Softball?

10 Man Modified softball more closely resembles baseball or fast-pitch softball in nature, with all the fundamental strategies of the game held intact (bunting, stealing, baserunning, etc...). This is as opposed to Slow-pitch softball which eliminates a lot of these in-game actions.

Modified-pitch is fast paced and offensively driven, but allows for pitching and defensive skill to be showcased as well. Modified softball pitching is similar to fast-pitch softball, however the pitcher's throwing arm is not allowed to windmill or extend their arm past 90° in their backswing, nor is it allowed to venture from their hip (i.e. Sling pitch). Fastballs, knuckleballs, change-ups, screwballs, etc... are not just allowed, but are ENCOURAGED!
