VOLUNTEERS - INSTRUCTIONS TO TAKE CHILD ABUSE AWARENESS COURSE

All volunteers/managers/coaches must complete and pass a REQUIRED child abuse awareness course to coach/volunteer

SCAN THE QR CODE TO ACCESS THE ABUSE COURSE!

To Complete the Child Abuse Awareness Course:

  • Visit: USABDevelops.com or scan the QR code
  • Click "REGISTER" (located at the top right of the webpage)
  • Create an account
    • When creating an account, please use the following organization name: LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL (this option is noted in the drop-down box)
  • After creating an account, click on "MY PROFILE" to sign in to the program (located in the top left menu)
  • Select "EDUCATION" (this option is located midway on the webpage)
  • Select "COURSES" (near the top of the webpage)
  • Scroll through the options and select "Abuse Awareness For Adults"
  • To begin the course, click "BASE Certification" followed by "START COURSE"
  • You will be required to take a short quiz after completing the course
  • After completing/passing the quiz, you will receive a certificate of completion

To download/print the certificate of completion:

  • Find your name in the upper right-hand corner of the page
  • Select "MY ACCOUNT" on the drop-down menu
  • Select "COURSES" under "MY PROFILE"
  • The certificate will be accessible under the "COURSE TITLE" 
  • Please download/print a copy of the certification and submit it to hobokenlittleleaguebaseball@gmail.com
    • When emailing the certificate, please label the email title as: FULL NAME - 2025 CHILD ABUSE COURSE CERT)
    • Alternatively you can upload the completed certificate directly into Blue Sombrero while registering; in this case, it is helpful to take the course before finalizing the registration.

 

Returning Managers/Coaches "Retaking" the Course: 
Visit the website (USABDevelops.com) and find "your name" on the home screen (located on the upper/right side of the screen), click on “my account”, click on “my profile”,  and then find the course title and click on it. Find your 2024 certificate noted from last year. Download/save a copy to your records and/or print it out in case ever needed. 
 
Next: Click on “retake course” - you will be directed to retake the online course/quiz; follow instructions accordingly
 
After completion of the course, follow the original instructions about downloading/printing the certificate 
(NOTE: the new certificate will replace the 2024 version; look for the "2025" copy of the certificate and download/save/print and/or share it)
