VOLUNTEER INFORMATION:

 

 

LIMITED OPENINGS AVAILABLE FOR VOLUNTEERS 

 

TEAM MANAGER/HEAD COACHES:

*Position entails leading a team, providing weekly communication, organizing/running practices, and completing ALL duties as a “head coach” at the games (e.g, assigning field positions, formulating and submitting batting line-ups, keeping a scorebook, etc.)

 

ASSISTANT COACHES: 

*Position entails assisting the team manager/head coach with practices and games as instructed/needed 

 

 

 

VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENTS:

*An administrator OR team manager will reach out to inform you about any available positions as needed; this will take place AFTER the registration process and team formation has been finalized. 

 

*Signing up and completing the registration process to volunteer DOES NOT automatically guarantee a volunteer/coaching position in the HLL; positions are granted on an “as-needed” basis.

1. Complete the online registration on ”Blue Sombrero” under YOUR NAME as a volunteer and indicate the desired coaching position:

2. Complete the online enrollment with TeamSnap (TS): https://go.teamsnap.com/forms/464232

 

3. Complete the mandatory background check provided by HLL; an email will follow with instructions after the registration to Blue Sombrero is completed AND team assignments have been made. Upon receipt, follow instructions accordingly

 

4. Complete a “quick” online form to provide information to the league: https://forms.gle/8Dczdv7Ti4TGb7uV7

 

 

5. Complete the mandatory online course (“Abuse Awareness for Adults”) @USABDevelops.com

 

 

*Submit the course certificate upon completion and send it directly to: hobokenlittleleaguebaseball@gmail.com

(When emailing the certificate, please label the email heading as: FULL NAME - 2025 CHILD ABUSE COURSE CERT)

 

 

 

 

VOLUNTEERS - INSTRUCTIONS TO TAKE CHILD ABUSE AWARENESS COURSE

All volunteers/managers/coaches must complete and pass a REQUIRED child abuse awareness course to coach/volunteer

To Complete the Child Abuse Awareness Course:

• Visit: USABDevelops.com
• Click "REGISTER" (located at the top right of the webpage)
• Create an account
  • When creating an account, please use the following organization name: LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL (this option is noted in the drop-down box)
• After creating an account, click on "MY PROFILE" to sign in to the program (located in the top left menu)
• Select "EDUCATION" (this option is located midway on the webpage)
• Select "COURSES" (near the top of the webpage)
• Scroll through the options and select "Abuse Awareness For Adults"
• To begin the course, click "BASE Certification" followed by "START COURSE"
• You will be required to take a short quiz after completing the course
• After completing/passing the quiz, you will receive a certificate of completion

To download/print the certificate of completion:

• Find your name in the upper right-hand corner of the page
• Select "MY ACCOUNT" on the drop-down menu
• Select "COURSES" under "MY PROFILE"
• The certificate will be accessible under the "COURSE TITLE" 
• Please download/print a copy of the certification and submit it to hobokenlittleleaguebaseball@gmail.com
