The Regional Development Basketball League will return in 2008 the developmental league was started by Businessman Will Williams in 2003 it took off then Williams who started the league but wasn't interested in running it then decided to close shop and focus on his team the Regulators the league was put together for young talent to continue to develop their skills in and he needed a league for his team to play since none were around the Dallas Fort Worth area .The Regulators televised their home games and built a natural rival in the Dallas Diesel but the league suffered because Williams didn't put more time in building it but he did build the Regulators who over the years have played before the NBA scout's in a game before the D-League Fort Worth Flyers, the league is scheduled to return in 2008 with 12 teams and will have teams from Oklahoma,Texas,Arkansas,Missouri, and Louisana.Players will have no more experience than one season of professional ball and each team will be allowed 2 veteran players on the 10 man roster.A commissioner will be named in about 2 weeks and the 2008 season will be slated to start in April and the rivalry between the Regulators and Diesel will return.
