Welcome to the 2015 Halifax Summer Hoops Website.

This site will be used to maintain the schedule and standings.

The Halifax Basketball Program will be hosting a Summer Basketball League for boys entering the 7th grade in the fall of 2014. Teams from surrounding towns will be invited to participate.

The League will consist of games only, no practices.

For boys, games will be on Wednesday nights at 6, 7, and 8pm, starting in June (no games on July 4th week due to the holiday. The top 4 teams will make the playoffs. On the Championship night, the two playoff game losers will play a consolation game.

All games will be held at Halifax Elementary School.

Restrictions:

The following restrictions must be met for each team:

All players must be from the same town, with the exception of Regional School Districts.
All boys must be entering the 7th grade in the fall of 2014
To be eligible for the playoffs, team members have to have played in AT LEAST one regular season game.


Players do NOT need to be travel players. The summer poses some problems with vacations etc, so it may make sense to have some alternate players on your roster.

Fees:

The entry fee for the League is $550 and will need to be paid in advance. The fee will most likely cover the following:

The league will be made up of 6 teams and each team will play the other 5 teams once (5 game season)
Shirts will be supplied for up to 12 players per team
2 referees per game
