The Manalapan Hockey Club...Who We Are

Who we are....The Manalapan Hoockey Club is a non profit corporation formed in 2012.  The founding members of the club are are group police officers, firefighters and EMS workers that all have a passion for the community and hockey.  We started as a handful of guys going to open hockey on our days off.  Soon, we realized that there was a growing demand for other community caretakers to join us on the ice.  Our group had grown rather quickly with enough members to form a team.

We entered several local tournaments in Monmouth and Ocean counties competing well and even winning the Derek Percey Memorial Tournament in Toms River in 2012.  We then traveled to Atlantic City where we participated in the Cam Am Tournament finishing a respectable third.

In 2013, we traveled to Boston in the spring for another Can/Am adult tournament where we took the gold medal in our division.  Recently,we entered a spring youth team at the Howell Ice World rink.  We have also developed a Summer Squirt Travel team for participation in three local summer tournaments.  Our members of the club have a wide array of playing experience, starting with members who just started skating this year to members who have skated and played their whole life.  The experienced members of the team will utilize their strenghts to mentor the new members of the club and the kids during the summer.

The club graciously accepts and appreciates donations and sponsorships which are tax deductable with our tax ID number.  The extra money we have goes out to local charities such as Wounded Warriors and Hurricane Sandy victims.  Please feel free to email us with questions or if you would like to donate or skate with the club.

Manalapan Hockey Club Donation Drive

The Manalapan Hockey Club was established in 2012 by a group of police officers, firemen and EMS personnel with a common interest in ice hockey.  What started out as a group getting together once a week to play lunchtime hockey has now developed into a well rounded competitive adult and youth hockey club.  The club began with an adult tournament team in 2012.  In the summer of 2013 the club added a squirt "A" summer tournament team.  In the summer of 2014 the club saw its youth summer tournament program grow to four teams which included a squirt team, two pee wee teams and a bantam team.  We continue to grow and so do our expenses.

The club is asking for donations to help offset our general expenses.  To keep the club progressing requires a significant budget that cannot be met by members dues alone.  We depend on businesses as well as individuals in the community to support our club in order for us to compete in tournaments as well as support our chosen charities.  Almost all of our player's jerseys have a number on the back which we have chosen to represent a fallen hero (police, fire, military, EMS) member who unselfishly has given his or her life to community service.

The Club proudly supports the Wounded Warrior Project, POAC (Parents of Autistic Children), St.Jude's Children Hospital as well as many local charities to include scholarships for players who just can not afford hockey all year long or have had personal tragedies strike our player's families.

Our annual expenses consist of tournament entry fees, travel expenses to and from tournaments, team uniforms as well as equipment.  Our goal is to acquire sufficient funds from donors to ensure the future success of the program.  The club is a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization Tax Exempt ID # 46-1010026.  We graciously accept any assistance you can offer and thank you in advance for supporting the club.  Donations can be mailed to :
Manalapan Hockey Club 141 Freehold Road Manalapan, NJ 07726
To donate by credit card, visit our "online forms" tab on the home page.
