Discovering a player’s Strength Through Sports, provides youth the opportunity to grow and develop through mind, body, and soul. We develop athlete’s sports abilities by coaching youth to be the best version of their selves both on and off the terrain. Our focus is on integrity, sports education, being good role models to children, and commitment to attain results that exceed expectations. Our players learn skills that last a lifetime.
We were founded in 2014 in order to build Strength Through Sports to youth. Knowing how important positivity is in a child’s development, we lead the way by exemplifying to our students what leadership looks like and how to look at everything with a can do attitude. Our VA Havoc FAMILY knows just what this looks like and how to use it in order to impact players lives.
Our positive motivation and energy keeps bringing players back into the gym. Whether it is an intense skills workout or a practice, our coaches coach with joy and passion for what they do every day. Players leave our programs a better player, a better individual, and with a smile on their face knowing they worked hard.
We also have a strong belief in paying it forward to the community we serve. We celebrate individual success and encourage our players and teams to become stronger in all they do. Whether it is helping with a food drive, walking in a parade, writing a letter to military men and women overseas, or working to raise awareness to end bullying and fight obesity, we focus on family and being there for players and their families. We bring awareness to building lasting relationships through a shared passion for sports and well-being.
The AAU Basketball travel teams are devoted to developing the skills of individual players with the collective goal of team success. Though success cannot always be measured by wins and losses, it is expected that the coaches and players will try to be competitive in all tournaments and games. Though competing is one aspect of the program, VA Havoc expects that all players, coaches, and VA Havoc spectators demonstrate the highest level of sportsmanship always. It is our belief that a competitive program can be a positive experience for young people, especially when coupled with a proper perspective that promotes character development.
