The Hawks traveled to Connecticut and left their best game on the bus. Although they were able to put 3 tries on the board, the defense was uncharacteristically lax in its tackling which led to line breaks by the Wreckers from Staples. The Hawks were facing some depth issues with starting center Ibrahima Toure and flanker Jamare Meadows out with injuries and 8-man Josh Barca and center Jose Gosdenovich seeing their first action since being out with illness and injury, respectively. On the positive side, scrumhalf, Jharid Morrison, scored his second and third tries of the season while prop, Miguel Trinidad, scored his second try of the season. Hopefully, the back to back games against top notch competition will prepare the Hawks for the meat of their upcoming League schedule.
