Mr. Suman is in his 11th year with the Ironwood Sports Medicine staff. Mr. Suman is head athletic trainer and director of the Sports Medicine Program.

In his duties as head athletic trainer, he oversees the operation of the sports medicine facility and supervises the IHS Sports Medicine staff of athletic trainers, Grand Canyon University undergraduate students, and high school sports medicine aides. Along with his duties as head trainer, Mr. Suman also runs the Sports Medicine Program at Ironwood. He teaches the Introduction to Sports Medicine classes on campus.


Mr. Suman earned a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Northern Arizona University in 2007. Mr. Suman has worked at Arizona State University, with the Arizona Gridiron Football team traveling to Australia, and the 2011 Eastham Energy College All-Star Football game.

Mr. Suman was named  the Warren H. Lee Athletic Trainer of the Year by the Arizona Athletic Training Association in January 2014.

Mr. Suman is a member of the Arizona Athletic Trainers Association (AzATA), the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers Association (RMATA) and the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).

Mr. Serene is in his 4th year with the Ironwood Sports Medicine Program. 
As a certified and licensed Athletic Trainer, Mr. Serene supervises the care of the student athletes competing in the school's athletic program. Mr. Serene is responsible for the prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of injuries within the comprehensive sports medicine program. 

Mr. Serene is from Hillsboro, Kansas. He received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Athletic Training at Tabor College, where he was also a member of the men's basketball team.  

Mr. Serene is a member of the Arizona Athletic Trainers Association (AzATA), the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers Association (RMATA) and the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
