Major League Rules:
• Games will be 6 innings in length
• No inning will start after 1 hour and 45 minutes
• 10-run rule after 4 innings
• Entire roster will bat
• No on-deck hitters are allowed.
• Each team must have eight (8) players to start an official game.
• Late arriving players will be inserted at the bottom of batting order. If the team is on defense with only 8 players, then the player can be inserted immediately. Otherwise he cannot enter until the start of the next inning.
• A team with 8 or less players can get a substitute player(s) from another team. The substitute player must have been drafted in the same round or a later round than the player that is absent. Any absent player from the 7th round or below can be substituted with any player from the 7th round and below. Example: An absent player that was drafted in the 10th round can be substituted with a 7th round pick from another team.
• The substitute player can play and bat anywhere but is not allowed to pitch.
• The responsibility to avoid contact lies with the runner. Any runner is out when…the runner does not slide or attempt to get around a fielder who has the ball and is waiting to make the tag. Running to first base after the ball is hit is the only exception. Umpires discretion.
• Any base runner purposely interfering with an attempted play on the ball by the fielder will be ruled out and a dead ball shall be declared.
• Major League pitching rules are as follows:
• If a player pitches 66 or more pitches (League age 11-12 max of 85, League age 10 max of 75) in a day, four (4) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 51 - 65 pitches in a day, three (3) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 36 - 50 pitches in a day, two (2) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 21 - 35 pitches in a day, one (1) calendar day of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 1-20 pitches in a day, no (0) calendar day of rest is required.
• If a pitcher reaches the limit (85) while facing a batter, he can finish that at-bat.
• If a pitcher reaches his imposed days of rest threshold while facing a batter he can continue to pitch until the current batter has been retired or reaches base without moving to the next threshold as long as he is removed before the next batter
• A player may not pitch in more than one game in a day.
• A pitcher who throws 41 or more pitches in a game cannot play catcher for the remainder of that day.
• A catcher who catches more than 3 innings cannot enter the game as a pitcher for the remainder of that game.
• A courtesy runner may be used for the catcher of record the previous time on defense when he is on base with two (2) outs. The courtesy runner must be the player that made the last out. If no outs have been recorded the courtesy will be the previous batter not on base
• Free substitution at any position except pitcher. Once your pitcher is removed from the mound they cannot reenter as a pitcher.
• No intentional walks.
• Infield Fly Rule is in effect.
• No leading off shall be allowed in the Major League games.
• Player removed for disciplinary reasons will be called out each time he is at bat.
• Player that is injured will not be called out each time.
• No headfirst slides unless going back to base.
• Little League rules apply in all other cases.
