White Heath Recreation League Code-of-Conduct -
White Heath Recreational League Code of Conduct 2025
As a participant in the White Heath Recreational League (WHRL) I (we) understand and agree to the following rules and guidelines and always take full responsibility for all persons within my (our) group. I understand these rules are not meant to be all inclusive and may change from time to time to better conform to the goals and objectives of the league.
1. I am a representative of the WHRL. My actions on and off the field reflect on the WHRL and our community. Lack of sportsmanship and improper behavior (including negative posts on social media, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) will not be tolerated and may result in the suspension from the league. I will strive to use my best judgement to carry out the goals and objectives of the WHRL.
2. It is my responsibility to ensure my child arrives at all WHRL practices and games at the designated time and is properly equipped. It is also my responsibility to inform the coach, in a timely manner, that my child will be late or miss a scheduled activity.
3. At no time will I use threatening or abusive language, engage in physical confrontation or be disrespectful toward any coach, player, or spectator (of either team) or towards an umpire.
4. I will respect the decisions and judgements made by the umpires and coaches.
5. I understand that smoking and the consumption of alcohol are strictly prohibited at any and all WHRL practices, games and events.
6. I understand the WHRL coaches are volunteers who want what is best for the players, the teams and the league. If I have a concern, I agree to discuss the issue privately and positively with the appropriate coach. If additional attention is required, I can discuss the matter with a member of the WHRL Board. I understand that public and
negative confrontations or threats toward the coaches does not set a good example for our athletes and I will refrain from doing so.
7. During the game, I will let the coaches coach the team, and my contribution will be positive and directed at supporting my team and our opponent.
8. During and immediately following the conclusion of a game, I will stay off the field and will refrain from approaching the players dugout unless directed to do so by the coaches.
9. I understand that the Head Coach of the team is responsible for the actions of the players, parents, and assistant coaches. If requested by a coach to refrain from an activity I agree to honor and support that request.
10. No player, parent, or guest should attend any WHRL event if they are or have recently been sick. If requested to use alternative seating, social distance, or limit attendance due to illness, I agree to support these requests.
The CoC is located on our website (www.whiteheathrec.org) under "forms", then "handouts".
I have read and understand the importance of these rules and guidelines. I understand that any violation of these rules could result in the suspension of myself, my guests, or my child from the WHRL events and facilities.
