*The named player, who has personally signed below, is part of the named Team and the named player is ineligible to sign with any other Team in the Perkiomen Valley Twilight Baseball League (the League) at any time following the date on which the signature of the named player was affixed to this Contract, as long as the Contract is in effect.

*THE NAMED PLAYER IS THE PROPERTY OF THE NAMED TEAM FOR THE CURRENT SEASON AND FOR ONE (1) SUCCEEDING SEASON, unless this Contract is voided by the Team Manager, not making the named player part of the official Team Roster. The Contract is also terminated if the named player 1. does not appear in 22% of the team's box scores (rounded down), 2. if a pitcher, not having pitched at least 8% of scheduled innings (rounded down) by the end of the current regular Season, 3. by the Manager of the Team giving the player a release.

*The official Team Roster, thirty (30) player maximum, is revalidated immediately, prior to the start of the Season. It may be added to, or deleted from, thru the current Season. A one day waiting period is required for contracts submitted after the League's Roster Meeting held before the start of each season. A written Notice for Roster changes is required during the Season, in the Off-Season only verbal notice is required.

*By signing this Contract, the player is eligible to play baseball for the named Team during the Season listed. For the succeeding Season(s), a new Contract must be personally signed by the named player in order for him to play.

*By signing this Contract, the named player acknowledges that he has reviewed all necessary League Rules and Regulations.

*By signing this Contract, the named player agrees to abide by all Rules and Regulations of the League pertaining to the playing of games, such as, without limitation, abiding by the decisions of Umpires; paying any fines that might be assessed; vacating playing areas, benches, stands if ejected from the game; avoiding profanity; returning uniform and all named Team property, etc.

*By signing this Contract, the named player certifies that he is physically fit, has sufficiently prepared and trained for participation in the activity or event, and has not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. The named player further certifies that there are no health-related reasons, conditions or problems which would preclude his participation in the activity or event.

*By signing this Contract, the named player, and his heirs, executors, personal representatives, administrators, next of kin, successors, and assigns will hold harmless the League, the Board of Directors and the Officials of the League, Umpires, Players, Teams, Team Management, Team Owners, Sponsors, Facilities and Facility Owners, in the event of injury, sickness, death, property loss and/or loss of compensation.

*By signing this Contract, the named player consents to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during the activity or event.

*By signing this Contract, the named player in general will do everything possible to help improve the stature of his Team and the League.

*By signing this Contract, the named player consents and gives permission to the League to photograph the named player playing in the League or in connection with League activities. The named player understands that any such photographs, and all rights associated with them, will belong solely and exclusively to the League or their representatives, who shall have the absolute right to copyright, duplicate, reproduce, alter, display, distribute, and/or publish them in any manner, for any purpose, and in any form including, but not limited to, print, electronic, video, or internet.

*By signing this Contract, the named player voluntarily waives any and all rights with respect to any such photographs, including compensation, copyright, and privacy rights and any right to inspect or approve such photographs and/or copy, print or other materials that may be used in connection with them, and hereby releases and discharges, and agrees to hold harmless, the League, its officers, agents and employees, trustees, representatives, successors, licensees, assigns and all persons acting under its permission or authority, from any claims and liability in connection with such photographs and/or their use.

*By signing this contract, the named player agrees to abide by and to act in accordance with all policies, protocols and safety measures adopted or adhered to by the League with regard to the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) pandemic or any other contagion, pathogen or health crisis declared by local, state or federal officials.

* All claims and disputes arising under or relating to this Agreement, or your involvement in the League as a participant, are to be settled by binding arbitration in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or another location mutually agreeable to the parties. The arbitration shall be conducted on a confidential basis pursuant to the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, and shall be conducted at a mutually agreeable date, time, and physical location. Any decision or award because of any such arbitration proceeding shall be in writing and shall provide an explanation for all conclusions of law and fact and shall include the assessment of costs, expenses, and reasonable attorneys' fees. Any such arbitration shall be conducted by a panel of three (3) arbitrators experienced in the specific area of law to which the predominant claims belong (torts, contracts, constitutional law etc.), and shall include a written record of the arbitration hearing. The parties reserve the right to object to any individual(s) acting as an arbitrator who shall be employed by or affiliated with a competing organization or entity. An award of arbitration may be confirmed in a court of competent jurisdiction. The costs of the arbitration itself, not attorneys? fees, is to be split equitably by the parties and their representatives.

*THE CONSENTS, WAIVERS AND RELEASES OF LIABILITY GIVEN IN THIS CONTRACT SHALL BE CONSTRUED BROADLY TO PROVIDE A RELEASE AND WAIVER TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

*I ACKNOWLEDGE AND REPRESENT THAT I AM OVER THE AGE OF 18 AND I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A CONSENT, WAIVER, AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND I SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY OF MY OWN FREE WILL ON BEHALF OF MYSELF.
