An impressive finish for our young bunch, The day started out to look like we would dominate all day.........but as is the case at most tournaments....The later the rounds the better the kids get...

Christopher went 0-2 but had his first match won and let it slip away in the final seconds, Maybe next year?

Thadeus very close second match and has shown marked improvement since the beginning of the year.

Patrick Once again like Chistopher had his first match won but again with his lack of experience couldn't put it away and fell short.

Thomas great start winning his first match by Pin and had 2 nice looking takedowns.......However, Things change in a hurry and 2 matches later... Thomas was calling it a season!

Raquan, well what can I say.........Live by the HEADLOCK you DIE BY IT...... The headlocks is about the worst move invented because it rarely works especially on anyone any good.......but if you hit on a scrub now and then, you get a false sense of reality.......... 0-2 with a few years experience I'm sure your dissapointed.

Here's a rather important thing and we had a bunch of this........when you get a guy on his back you gotta put him away, plain and simple....I watched at least 6 matches we had won, but couldn't finish the pin and sure enough the other guy got back in the match and eventually WON!............. We must improve here, or your gonna keep losing these close matches...

NOW FOR OUR PLACE WINNERS:

Nathanial Great Start Pinning his First two opponents then in the semi's ran into someone a little sharper whose been in the room all year...After that Nathaniel split his next two matches and finished 4th Place in his 16 man bracket.

Tyler another big and competitive bracket. Again after advancing to the semi's ran into a very tough kid.......Then still had a shot against westminister and going up 5-0 to start and not being able to secure the fall.........The kid climbed back and pulled it out knocking TYler to 5th PLACE........Still an outstanding year TYLER FINISHED WITH 25 WINS (TEAM HIGH FOR THE YEAR).

JT all and all a good performance, you definetly need to work on some technique. but for toughness and agressiveness you got what it takes, JT also made the Semi's but let a 7 point get away with a minute left and dropped down into the wrestle backs where JT was knocked down to 5th Place as well. Still a good year!

Hunter wrestled well in a couple very rememberable matches. Hunter took home the Silver Medal after going on a 6 match win streak dating back to the beginning of the month.. Hunter may be our most improved wrestler.

Cullen Surprise, Surprise.......Bringing home the GOLD winning the 100# CHAMPIONSHIP! CULLEN has had a lot more confidence lately and it shows............. And, not letting the pressure of his parents bringing 30 people to watch him wrestle in this event...... Cullen put that aside and went out there and did his thing! FIRST Age/Weight Title for PH in 4 years!

HEAVYWEIGHT KYLE PENNEWILL added to the CHAMPIONSHIP HARDWARE, improving on last years 2nd place finish with 3 first period PINS on the way to the GOLD MEDAL! another fantastic finish and great way to end the year!

On another note, Thanks for the 3 guys who didn't show up! It's always fun to get fined by the league for NO SHOWS! I appreciate the effort of those that made it and stuck it out... for those who didn't not ( I appreciate that too, because it lets me see where to focus my energies )
