| Wild deal for me here. It's been twenty years this year since i was in high school and you start to realize how old you are and if you anything you've done has really mattered in life? Well i can look back at the last 13 years of coaching and good, bad, and otherwise i think i have mattered a little bit to alot of people? at least that's what i make myself think to keep me doing this!
Anyway: This season,
Perry Hall Hosts Two of our former standouts in
Shaun Murphy who won 30 matches as a freshman and was the most accomplished wrestler i've coached on the state level who in junior league won 97 consecutive matches against maryland wrestlers enter his sophmore year and should be a favorite to win the state title.
and Robin Paguia who is a junior and has recorded 54 HS wins in his freshman and sophmore seasons also should definetly be in the mix at seasons end.
Hereford HS: Junior Matt Swiger who had an off season last year but is a MMM place winner should shake off the rust and be in the mix again this season.
Harford Tech: Is led by Senior Brandon Gain who is a 3x Upper Chesapeake and Eastern Regional Champion expects to finaly raise that state champoinship plague come march.
Loch Raven: Pat Downey perhaps the meanest kid in a generation i've seen, He took 4th at the national preps as a freshman at 145 one of the premier weight classes in high school and two of the kids who finished ahead of him are currently starters at D1 Colleges, Last Year Pat Transfered to Loch Raven and made a joke of the Public school wrestling system going 33-0 with 30 pins as a sophmore, I honestly can't see anyone in this state not only having a chance to beat him, but to score a point that isn't a cut and retake down....... a totally dominant and tough as nails kid, i would expect that Patrick becomes a national place winner in college for certain.

| Coach, I currently have 3 of your " junior leaguers" Shaun Murphy, Robin Paguia, and Andrew Huber. Shaun placed 2nd- Robin placed 1st and Andrew place 3rd in the Franklin invitational last weekend- the team tied for 3rd behind Owings Mills and Hereford. I just wanted to let you know what a great job you did with them. They are some of toughest and hardest working kids I have been around. They are all "business" Shaun and Robin are both captians and are a big reason we are 7-1 so far. hope you kids are kickin' butt this year-Jake Roche
