| R1 on 2nd base and R2 on 1st base. B3 hiTs a fly ball to short right. R1 runs into Fielder 5 standing in the base line, and falls down. R2 passes R1 and scores.

| On the play where f-5 obstructs r1 and r2 passes r1 and scores. Correct call is as follows. Obstruction on f-5 which has caused r-1 to fall down. R-2 is not out for passing r-1.There is no out for passing an obstructed runner. It is of course a judgement on what base or bases to award r-1.Because r-2 scored, r-1 will also get home. This results in to runs scored.

| Hank, Top half of 3rd Inning Team A offense is using FLEX. R1 on first base. Team A Flex Player is batting for DP. Just after the first pitch to the Flex Player coach A realizes he wanted his DP to Bat for herself. Do you allow the substitute to bat and what happens in bottom of the 3rd Inning if Coach A wants to use the Flex to play defence for the DP?

| I would say that if the flex is batting, the DP has left the game, and the team has gone down to 9 players. The DP can return, so long as this is the 1st re-entry. The existing count remains. The coach would need to be asked if the DP is entering to the DP position or replacing the flex. If the DP is returning to the original position, the team has gone back to 10 players. If the DP is replacing the flex, the flex has left the game, the team remains at 9 players, and the flex can re-enter 1 time. The team can go from 10 to 9 an unlimited amount of times, so long as the re-entry rule has not been violated and the team has legal substitutes on the bench.

| With info given- DP re-enters in Flex spot of batting order and assumes the count of the Flex player.Flex returns to the 10th spot if coach wants to continue using Flex and goes from nine to ten players. Flex cannot play Defense for DP in bottom of third inning because Flex can only play offense for the DP.If coach does want Flex to replace DP in bottom of inning then DP is no longer eligible to return to game.Coach could however use another player as DP if eligible.

| clarifing previous e-mail answer. Yes to allowing DP to re-enter for flex assuming the pitch count. Yes to alowing flex to come down to DP spot in the order.Team has now gone from 10 to 9 players and DP is out of the lineup.
