| runners on first and second no one out.Batter hits fly ball in the infield.Infield fly is called, runner at second leaves base before the ball comes down and scores on the play.No fielder catches the ball and it lands on ground. Runner batter is called out on the infield fly call and runner1 on second is allowed to score. Is this the correct ruling.

| Yes.Ball is live. Runner1 scores because the ball was not touched while in the air and did not have to tag up.

| Does the ball have to be caught in order for the runners to have to tag up or is it if it's touched? If just touched then there is no control, so does that mean once touched it's considered a catch?

| Infield fly rule deals with a flyball catch situation. On a flyball a runner can tag up and leave on the touch by the fielder.

| Only a catch if caught and controlled by either having the ball in the hand, glove or hand and glove together. The touch is not control.
