UMPIRE SAID THAT IN FAST PITCH A BALL THAT BOUNCES CAN BE HIT.I THINK HE WAS WRONG.CAN YOU HELP ME.

Randie -umpire was correct.In FP, the ball remains alive when it hits the ground and may be hit by the batter.
In SP softball the ball is dead when it touches the ground.
Sounds like you have met a knowledgeable umpire.
