R1 on 2nd R2 on 1st. There is 1 out. B3 hits Fly ball to right. RF makes sliding catch then gets up throws to 3rd where R1 tagged up to advance (safe call). R2 returns to first. B3 passes R2 and runs to 2nd base. 3B throws widly past 2nd base into outfield attempting to get the runner (assuming it was R2). R1 thens run home and R2 now advances to 2nd. How many outs are there and where are the runners?

check that R1 is out from the interference which B1 made when they drew the throw to 2nd. R2 remains on first. so 2 outs.

Mike- right fielder made second out on B-3. This made B-3 a retired runner. Cannot call B-3 out twice, but because retired runner B-3 pulled a throw to second base, the nearest runner to home plate R-3 is called out for the third out of the inning.
