| improper batter leads off inning. nobody notices until a few batters later, but everybody who followed lead off batter was in proper succession. was brought to my attention after current batter saw a pitch. since only lead off was incorrect, and that was a few batters ago I ruled "play on". yay or nay

| I would say a big Yea!!!! They would have had to your attention prior to the next legal pitch.

| Correct ruling. Once a pitch is thrown legal or illeagal it made the incorrect batter the correct batter.Since the order continued in the right order after the incorrect batter,now the correct batter,all things are good.Reminder if a incorrect batter is caught by the defense prior to a pitch, the correct batter would be called out,not the batter who batted out of turn.Up to 3/2 count correct batter can replace incorrect batter assuming any count the incorrect batter has.
