Greyhounds close meet with five straight wins for wrestling win. The Gilman Greyhouds found themselves the victors of their latest wrestling meet, taking down fellow MIAA opponent Calvert Hall in a 40-27 battle.
Trading wins with the Cardinals through the first half of the dual meet, the Greyhounds picked up their pace and ended the night with a five-match winning streak, closing the 170-pound weightclass through heavyweight to seal the 13-point final.
Gilman saw big winners in Ty washburn (152), Brandon Smith (170) and Connor Webb (220), all earning falls, while three other Greyhounds pulled point-wins.
Calvert Hall was victorious in six weightclasses, one by way of forfeit, but saw wins from Evan Zoppo (106), Noah Koski (120), Matt Wagner (126), Matt Crum (145) and Aaron Sampson (160).
