| I'm going to take a shot at #17. Since the ball first hit beyond the base path, I'm going to say that it should probably be a fair ball, right? So my guess would be that the double stands.

| Has to be a foul ball. Did not pass first or third on fair ground.

| PLAY 17 B1 hits a pop fly between 1B and 2B, and the ball falls untouched to the ground about six feet beyond the base line. The ball has backspin and rolls across the foul line about ten feet from home plate, where it is first touched by F3. B1 advances to 2B on the play.
Fair Ball.
If you read the rule book under definitions of Fair Ball, F. It states it does not matter where the ball finished if it first falls BEYOND 1st, 2nd or 3rd base and is fair at the time it touches the ground. In other words if it has passed the infield bases pathes in fair territory, it is a fair ball.

| Sorry forgot to add in FED, it is the imaginary line direct from 1st to 3rd base. If the ball first passes this line and touches the ground then rolls foul it is still considered a fair ball.

| If ball touches infield before base and goes over the base it is fair ball. If hits before and goes foul before base, foul ball.If it does not touch the ground and goes foul, foul ball.I call it " cutting the bag ".
