With one out and bases loaded, F3 is playing in front of first base. B5 hits a fair line drive that strikes R3 off base in fair territory and then the ball bounces into dead ball territory. When the ball went out of play, no runners had advanced to the next base.
a. Dead ball and interference. R3 is out, B5 is awarded first base and all other runners are returned to the last base touched at the time the ball became dead.
b. Dead ball and interference. B5 is out and all runners are awarded two bases.
c. Dead ball and interference. B5 is placed on second base and all runners are awarded two bases.
d. Two base award. B5 is placed on second base and all runners are awarded two bases.

You did not mention if the second baseman had a chance to make a play. If so interference. If not the answers are all wrong because no interference on R-3 because the ball was past first baseman when it hit runner and no other player had a chance to make a play.

Changed my answer to D - two base award to all runners because ball was past first baseman and assuming second basemen could not have made the play. The question did not give detail if another defender was in a position behind runner and could have made a play.No other defender to have made a play -no interference on runner.

D looks like a good answer, however, depending on the second baseman answer A might
also be possible. Have to see the play
live. As long as you know both scenarios and
can explain it you should be ok. A little ambiguous. Be cool!
