| bottom of the 7th, bases loaded, home team is one run down, 2 outs. batter walks. runner on first walks to the DUGOUT not to second base. Obviously, that runner is out for abandoning, but, does the run count?

| Did the umpire(s) stay around for an appeal? If not appealed, the runner is not out?

| All runners must advance one base. If appealed properly, even on the last play of the game, the umpire(s) would declare the runner out. Therefore, it would be a force out and nobody would score.

| Slow pitch or fast pitch, the runner would be out if appealed before the umpires walk off the field.
