bottom of the 7th, bases loaded, home team is one run down, 2 outs. batter walks. runner on first walks to the DUGOUT not to second base. Obviously, that runner is out for abandoning, but, does the run count?

Did the umpire(s) stay around for an appeal? If not appealed, the runner is not out?

All runners must advance one base. If appealed properly, even on the last play of the game, the umpire(s) would declare the runner out. Therefore, it would be a force out and nobody would score.

Slow pitch or fast pitch, the runner would be out if appealed before the umpires walk off the field.
