| bases loaded ONE out. dropped third strike, batter runs to first, runner from third scores at home. no throw was made to first. batter/ runner ran all the way to first.ball got away from catcher far enough preventing a play at home. retired player interference?

| Interference: The act of any offensive player or team member, umpire or spectator that IMPEDES, HINDERS OR CONFUSES a defensive player attempting to execute a play.
Per your situation, the offense is trying to confuse the defense into making a play thus you have interference. As an umpire you are taught to yell out BATTER IS OUT. If the runner starts to run to first when he/she is not supposed to. Hope this helps

| gary's 2nd comment is correct. as to if the catcher throws, neal is right - umpire should yell loudly "batter is out", repeat if necessary. personally, at that point, if the catcher throws, it's on her, not the runner. i don't agree that we have interference on a retired runner since the catcher should know the number of outs and hear me yell. 2 chances to make a play on the runner trying to score. plus, the catcher should be taught to stop on the plate with the bases loaded & a dropped 3rd strike. run scores, batter is out
