| really happened in a Men's slow pitch game. What's your call?? Runner on first and no outs. Batter hits a ball into left center field and hits a tree that is predetermined to be in play during ground rules session. Ball bounces off tree and the left fielder retreats to field the ball. Fielder picks up the ball past foul grounds and in dead ball territory. By the time he throws the ball in, both players cross home plate. Homerun? or What?

| The tree is in play, so you play it like a wall. The ball hits the tree and then rolls into foul territory and goes out of play. What you have now is a ground rule double. You place the runners on Third and Second no outs.
