| False. the proper batter is always declared out. any outs made on the improper batter who batted out of order stand. i.e. B3 is due up, B5 bats with R2 on 1B and no outs. B5 hits a ground ball to 2nd base and the defense turns a DP. before the next pitch the defensive coach protests BOOO. the 2 outs on the play stand and B3 is declared out. the inning ends and B4 leads off the next inning
