| If you use an EH in a game can the EH start playing defense if another player is pulled out of the game and someone else is designated as a new EH?

| If you're talking ASA fast pitch, Cindy, there's no such thing as an EH. It has to be some kind of local league bylaw. Check with your league.

| Ron is correct. No such thing as an EH in ASA softball. Can't define a rule for you that doesn't exist. Everything would be a guess at what the local group that came up with it had in mind when they created it.

| There is a EH in Pony softball. I will not answer the question if not an ASA related question or applied as a ASA rule that also could be the same ruling for NFHS. There are no EH players in ASA. Did you mean DP?-Hank
