| This occurred in a tournament I recently did. Runners on first and second. Double steal, my judgement is that the batter gave a clear lane for the catcher to throw to third base. By the way no one was covering third base because the batter being in the bunting position, so their was no opportunity for an out. The catcher throws to third anyway and the ball hits the helmet of the batter. The ball trickles away and I allowed the play to stand, no batter interference. As you might guess the fans and coach of the defensive team went crazy did I make the correct call?

| Was the batter stationary in the batters box, or moving around? The batter is entitled to the batters box and is protected from being called for interference as long as they do not actively hinder the catcher from making a play. If the batter did not move around and the catcher simply threw the ball into her it is simply a live ball play on. If the batter was moving around in the box and hindered the catcher, then you have interference.

| I believe that the batter was in the box, also I feel that the throw was strange as the catcher clearly had a path to throw the ball.
