| Bases loaded, one out. Defense playing in. Batter chops a ball down the third base line about a foot or so in foul territory. F5 moves over to field it, but R1 running home bumps into her and knocks her down. F5 cannot recover in time before the ball rolls down and then hits the third base bag. What is your ruling?

| Dead ball, foul. The ball was in foul territory at the time of contact and the ball becomes dead with the contact by the runner. What the ball does after that makes no difference as it was immediately dead and was in foul territory at the time. Since it was a foul ground ball there is no interference. It is nothing but a foul ball.
