| Spectator is flying a drone over ball field. The field has a fence that is 8 ft. tall in the outfield. Batter hits a flyball that is looks to be on the way over the fence. It strikes the drone and a) falls over the fence b) falls into the field of play, not caught c) falls into the field of play, caught by outfielder d) falls into deadball territory In all cases no players are hurt. What is the call?

| In all, if the ball is anywhere near fair territory, and within 20 or so feet of the fence, I would rule a home run with no question. Close enough. Give the batter the benefit of any doubt.

| Clarification. I'm talking about where the ball is when it comes into contact with the drone. I don't think that it's important where the ball is once it falls to the ground.

| Excellent point, Perry! Consideration should only be given to where the contact was made in mid air.
