| Interference is an immediate dead ball, nothing can happen after the fact. If the batter is called for interference the runner stealing cannot be put out and would be returned to 2nd.

| Should't the defense in this instance, be given the chance to get the doulbe play?

| There is only one instance in the rule book where interference is a delayed dead ball and the umpires let play continue to see what the outcome is. And, that is umpire interference by the plate umpire interfering with the catcher while throwing on a steal or pick off attempt.
As for getting more than one out on an interference call, there are only 2 instances I can think of off hand in the ASA rule book that allow for more than 1 out, and that is interference on a pop fly playable with normal effort fair or foul and interference by a runner to prevent a double play.
Other than umpire interference mentioned above, interference is always an immediate dead ball and all playing action ceases at that instant.
